Our Story

We're Joe and Regina Steele, Yuba City locals. In 2017 we opened Steele House Coffee on Center Street in downtown Yuba City, because we wanted a spot where everyone feels welcome. We've been pouring coffee for our neighbors ever since.
From Pouring to Roasting
When we started, we served coffee from other roasters. We learned a lot from the people who helped us get going, and we're grateful to them. Over time, we wanted to know every step our coffee takes from the farm to your cup. So we started roasting it ourselves.
Now we roast every batch ourselves, in small batches, right here in our Yuba City shop. Joe is our chief roaster. If you've had a cup with us lately, you've had a batch he roasted.
What's in the Cup
We're picky about our beans. Right now we roast Brazil, Guatemala, Colombia, Midnight, House Blend and Serenity, our decaf Colombia. They're mostly medium roasts, with one dark: Midnight. Every bag is 100% Arabica.
We roast for a smooth, low-acid cup that's still full of flavor. It's a big reason our regulars keep coming back.

Our kiosk inside Compton's Market: 4065 McKinley Blvd, Sacramento, in East Sacramento. Grab a coffee while you shop.
Online: order fresh-roasted beans from our online shop. We ship anywhere in the U.S., and orders go out within 3 to 5 business days. Shipping is free on orders over $50. You can also pick up at 437 Center St. We don't ship internationally.
